Sixtine Brought Magic to Dominica in These 5 Nature-Inspired Bikinis

A rookie in the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue, Sixtine traveled to the Caribbean country of Dominica for her feature, which she posed for on her 25th birthday.

While on location, the content creator stated that being a rookie “feels powerful and strong,” and noted that she uses her platform to inspire and influence others, something she hoped her photoshoot with Yu Tsai would further help her to accomplish.

“I think it’s important that people get that representation in [the] media so that they don’t feel this heavy pressure to be something that nobody is,” she said. “Nobody looks like the girls in the magazine—even the girls in the magazine don’t look like the girls in the magazine because there’s so much that goes into it. So I hope people see themselves.”

Sixtine, who is now represented by Natural Models in New York, uses her Instagram and TikTok accounts to promote the concept of body neutrality, in which she focuses not on what her body looks like, but how it functions and what it can do for her. In fact, the model has credited fellow SI Swimsuit star Ashley Graham and British model Iskra Lawrence with helping her to develop a healthier mindset about her body.

“It took me a lot of years to unlearn toxic diet culture,” she recently told Yahoo. “But [feeling neutral about my body’s appearance] became so natural and so easy that I just stopped thinking about it all together.”
